  • Billie Teague
    Lead Client Care Specialist


    Billie who is originally from Texas is the middle child of 5 siblings.  She attended school for medical assistant and worked shortly in the medical field, but soon realized that her true passion was working with animals.  Billie comes to SLVS with over 10 years of veterinary field experience and joined our team in July of 2016. Billie has one of the cutest teacup yorkies named Squintz who is periodically featured on our facebook page.  In her spare time, Billie enjoys cooking, working out, spending time with her husband and 5 kiddos, watching football (GO TEXANS), Basketball (Warriors), and Baseball (New York Yankees).

  • Erin Sziy
    IM Client Service Technician


    Erin is a native of Sugar Land and earned her BS in Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University.  She has several years’ experience in Research, Avian, and Exotic Medicine, and spent 3 years running a low-cost vaccination clinic for the local community.  She decided to return to the quality medicine of specialty in 2013, when she joined the SLVS team in ICU, providing specialized care of pets hospitalized by all Sections of the hospital.  She shares her life with 2 Amazon Parrots, 2 cats who were rescues, a German Shepherd (rescued and revived to a happy life) and her beloved husky-shepherd mix, Bentley (who was hit by . . . a Bentley).  Her passion is animal rescue, specifically baby and young kittens.

  • Janet Otto
    LVT
    Referral Specialist


    Originally from Angleton, Janet joined the SLVS team in 2011. She received her AAS degree in Animal Science from the Veterinary Technician Institute of Houston in 10/2010, and became an Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in 5/2011. During her short stint in general practice medicine, it became clear to her that her true calling was specialty medicine. At SLVS, she became an accomplished member of the Surgery and Internal Medicine Team, with that knowledge, she is now our Referral Specialist. Her special interests include fishing, dancing, and traveling. She says Schotzy, her Miniature Schnauzer, is her soul dog since adoption in 2012. 

  • Morgan Batiste-Simms
    Client Care Specialist


    Born and raised in Houston, Morgan is a native Texan with family in Minnesota as well as out of the country, in Jamaica. From the age of five Morgan knew she wanted to be a vet when she “Grew up”. Morgan volunteered at an animal emergency clinic at the age of 12 for three years. She then worked at Cy-Fair Animal Hospital as both a technician and receptionist before finding her way to Sugar Land Veterinary Specialists. As she matured, she also discovered she had a love for linguistics. Currently, in addition to English, Morgan speaks fluently Spanish, Russian, and Latin. She has decided to start Italian this year. Last year Morgan lived in Chisinau, Moldova for one year to learn the Russian language and culture. A senior at Clements High School, Morgan has been accepted to and will be attending the University of Glasgow to study veterinary medicine. She has one rose-breasted cockatoo named “Maxwell” who will be accompanying her to Scotland in August.

  • Ellie Johnston
    Client Care Specialist


    Ellie has been in love with animals ever since she can remember. She was always bringing them home when she was little, & has not been without a pet since. Raised in Houston, Ellie's mother worked at a small vet clinic, & since the age of 10, she would take Ellie to work with her during school breaks, & summers. Soon enough, Ellie was 17, & so familiar with everything at the clinic, she was offered a position as a receptionist. Ellie worked at the clinic for 3 years until it closed down, and when her mom was diagnosed with cancer in New Orleans shortly after, she relocated to be closer to her. Living life there for 4 years, Ellie had a beautiful daughter named, Ava. In 2016, After the passing of her mother, Ellie came back to Houston with her Boogie, (Ava) & has been back in the vet field ever since. She is new to the SLVS team, & very excited to make it her home! She lives in Sugar Land with her Boogie,(of course), her fiance, & their 2 huskies Alaska & PoBoy. (Like the New Orleans sandwich!) Ellie enjoys reading, writing, family outings, movies, & eating!

  • Adina Glorioso
    Client Care Specialist


    In 2016 Adina moved to Houston, Texas and began her career as a Client Care Specialist with SLVS from her hometown of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As a child, she grew up on a farm caring for her family’s thoroughbred racehorses in addition to a collection of just about every animal you can imagine. Over the years she combined her love for animals with her extensive client service experience working at various primary care veterinary hospitals and eventually finding her passion working for several years as a Client Care Specialist at a veterinary emergency hospital. In her free time, Adina can be found loving on her dog Winston and her four cats King, Kitten, Kuster, and Kassidy

  • Dannette Harkins
    Client Care Specialist


    Dannette was born and raised in Iowa.  She recently moved to Texas from Denver, CO.  She has had the pleasure of traveling a lot and experienced animal medicine in various other states throughout the country.  She brings to the table over 9 years experience in the veterinary medicine field and joined the SLVS Team in May of 2018. Outside of work she loves music, the outdoors and watching Iowa Hawkeyes Football.  When at home she enjoys spending time with her fiance and two dogs, Zeke Allen and Simon Charles.

  • Kimberly Sanders
    Client Care Specialist

    Kimberly was born in Richmond, Texas and raised on a small farm in Belleville. Her passion for animals started at a young age while tending to the farm animals and many family pets. She got her start in veterinary medicine by working as a kennel tech in high school and training up to the technician role. After high school, she attended the Vet Tech Institute of Houston and Pima Medical Institute to obtain her certification. Kimberly loves spending her free time outside in nature, rescuing and re-homing animals of all kinds as well as volunteering for the Texas Wildlife Refuge Center. At home, she dedicates herself to her young son Aiden and her 3 dogs: Precious and Chloe the chihuahuas and Coco the chi-weenie. She also has a tortoiseshell cat named Motley and a dumbo rat named Henry. She started with us at SLVS in September with eight years experience as a technician and three years as a client care specialist.
