She began working in veterinary medicine as a receptionist in 2008 at a small animal and avian/exotic practice. Since 2009, she has been working in specialty medicine, which is where her real passion for veterinary medicine lies. Lauren joined the SLVS Internal Medicine team in 2010. In her spare time, Lauren enjoys camping, playing the cello, and spending time with her furry family, which includes her lab mixes, Jolie and Ranger, her cat, Shostie, and her chinchilla, Sethra.

At home, Kristina enjoys spending time with her husband and their 4-legged babies, which include 2 dogs and a Russian Tortoise – which were all rescues, as well as movies, bicycling, and backyard grilling.
