Alicia graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University. She began working in veterinary medicine in Las Vegas, NV in 2002 as a receptionist and a veterinary assistant. She has worked in general practice, emergency and critical care and the Texas A&M small animal hospital intensive care unit. Alicia joined the surgery team at SLVS in 2010. She became the ICU Coordinator in 2011 and Director of Nursing in 2012. She enjoys backpacking and just having fun with her family which includes her red-tailed boa, “Lilith” and two crazy cats, “Mitz” and “Mew”.
Originally from Monroe, Lousiana, in a family of 5 siblings, Cicely came to the Sugar Land area when she was 10. She now lives in Rosenberg with her husband, 2 children and 4 dogs,Trace, Kona, Boss & Prince. She loves spending her spare time coaching baseball and softball, and fishing with her family at the Bay.
Originally from Baytown, Tanya earned an Associate’s degree in Emergency Medical Technology, Paramedic II. She worked as a paramedic for several years, but then realized her true passion was working with animals in specialty veterinary medicine. With 19 years of veterinary experience, she has worked as a technician in emergency, neurology, ICU, and internal medicine and has been with the SLVS family since 2010. In late 2014 she transferred from the technical side of veterinary medicine to become the SLVS Marketing and Social Media Coordinator. She lives with her husband and their 4 rescue dogs, Molly (Poodle/Schnauzer mix), Mia (Spitz mix), Coco (Lab mix) and Bella (Italian Greyhound). She is also a mentor with the Houston Amputee Society and the American Amputee Society. In her free time she enjoys traveling, scuba diving, reading, and attending Sci-Fi & comic book conventions. She is also an active member with the 501st Legion which is a worldwide Star Wars costuming organization that raises money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, as well as various other charities.
Josh grew up in Sugar Land, Texas, graduating from Stephen F. Austin High School in 2001. Josh immediately enlisted in the Marines and served a 5 year active term. After serving in the military Josh worked as an electrician before going to the Vet Tech Institute of Houston. Josh joined the SLVS team in May of 2013. He has one mixed breed shepherd and an Irish Wolfhound. Josh enjoys watching movies and spending time with his 2 beautiful daughters and wife.
