Staffed by career Emergency Veterinarians and Emergency Senior Technicians, SLVS is equipped with the newest high tech tools in a state-of-the-art facility.



Sugar Land Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Center serves Sugar Land, Fort Bend County and southwest Houston every night, weekend and holiday. Experience and strong leadership on the emergency floor enables quick and accurate diagnosis, prognosis and treatment for each pet. Patient comfort and pain control are special priorities for our staff..



Our newly built facility is specifically designed and constructed for emergency triage with an expansive, centralized triage area and the ability to care for multiple critical patients simultaneously. Diagnoses and treatment are supported by digital radiography, CT, diagnostic color-flow Doppler ultrasound, endoscopy, comprehensive in-house laboratory, heated oxygen cages, mechanical ventilation, advanced patient monitoring, infectious disease isolation ward, two intensive care units (ICU), and two operating rooms.

Functioning as an extension of your family veterinarian's practice, the Emergency & Critical Care Section of Sugar Land Veterinary Specialists is continuously prepared to ensure that quality medical care is available to patients outside of regular office hours. Working in conjunction with multiple veterinary specialists under one roof, our emergency clinicians are able to provide a team approach to maximize the care of patients from minor emergencies to more complicated conditions.

Medical records, including any radiographic, CT or ultrasound images, are forwarded to the family veterinarian for follow-up care on the workday following the emergency treatment.

Emergency & Critical Care Hours of Operation
Weekdays: Monday thru Thursday, 6:00p.m. - 8:00a.m.
Weekends: Friday thru Monday, 6:00p.m. - 8:00a.m.
All holidays: The day before 6:00p.m. to 8:00a.m. the day following the Holiday
