Loretta Bubenik-Angapen
DVM, MS, DACVS, Surgical Section Head
Dr. Loretta-Angapen grew up in Panama City, Florida and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology in 1993 and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida in 1997. Dr. Bubenik-Angapen accepted an internship in Medicine and Surgery and then entered the residency program in surgery at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine.
She earned a Masters Degree in Veterinary Surgery at Virginia Polytechnic Institute in 2001 and became boarded in the American College of Veterinary Surgery in 2002. She was a tenured Professor of Surgery at Louisianna State University College of Veterinary Medicine from 2002 to 2007 before joining the SLVS staff. Dr. Bubenik-Angapen is skilled at all aspects of small animal surgery but has particular interest in pain management, rehabilitation, neurosurgery, minimally invasive surgery, joint arthroplasty and wound management.

Nissan Mosapor
Surgery Support Staff, Manager
Nissan Mosapor is a Los Angeles native. He has worked over 10 years in various specialty practices gaining a wide array of experiences ranging from emergency medicine to surgical services. Nissan has supervised and managed several specialty hospitals in California. His focus has been on surgery. He is skilled with anesthesia protocols and has an extensive knowledge of surgical procedures. Every year he continues to further his knowledge by attending continuing education all over the country and is currently in school finishing his business degree. He is excited to be in Texas and looks forward to continuing his role as surgical manager in the SLVS Family.

Lisa Bunk
Surgery Support Staff
Lisa Bunk is a 2001 graduate of Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She began working with animals at a young age on a farm in North Central Iowa. After college, she began her career as a Registered Veterinary Technician at Iowa State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Since 2004, she has worked in both the greater Seattle and Houston areas gaining valuable experience in all areas of surgery including anesthesia, radiology, surgical assisting, and postoperative patient care.

Sarah Mohler
Surgery Support Staff
Sarah Mohler was raised in San Antonio. She received her RVT in San Antonio at Palo Alto Community Collage under their Veterinary Technology program. She also earned an Associates Degree in Applied Science in Veterinary Technology in June of 2008. Sarah has a general interest in pathology and, more specifically, in exotic animals. She is always interested in learning anything that makes her a better technician.
